How is a subscription different from importing a calendar file?
A subscription remains connected to its source and updates automatically. An ICS or CSV file import is a one-time snapshot whose events become normal editable FamStak events.
How does FamStak prevent duplicate subscribed events?
FamStak preserves each event's ICS UID as an external identifier and updates the matching event on later refreshes instead of creating a new copy.
Does this connect directly to a Google, Apple, or Outlook account?
No. FamStak currently works with calendar URLs and files rather than two-way provider-account synchronization. It can also generate a private read-only FamStak feed for another calendar app.
